In the West, however, yoga is at least initially reduced to physical practice. The asanas (body positions) which serve the musculature, joints, fascia and internal organs are in the foreground.
Through the addition of breathing exercises, the so-called pranayamas, we bring the nervous system into balance and create a holistic relaxation that can be strengthened by meditation.
